In august, I applied to work as a live-in volunteer at a cat shelter in Williamsport. I have a background in healthcare and noticed that the cats were not getting medical attention..the kittens I have on my profile, were under the care of a cat hoarder posing as a legitimate shelter, so I took them to get proper medical attention and was advised by local animal control to seize the kittens because they were very badly neglected and needed an environment without fleas or mold. So with the help of some amazing vets and a support network, we were able to take care of the fleas and the infections. As much as a blessing the kittens are, I would love to see the go to a good home before putting them under the stress of a similar environment that we rescued them from. I lost my home in July and have been diligently seeking employment. I would love to give them to someone who can devote the time to nurture them.
